Improvement of the Extension Program Delivery System

GENERAL OBJECTIVE
The extension programs of the college focus on capability building through education, the conduct of livelihood skills training for Out of School Youths, Unemployed adults and inmates or prisoners; continuing education for professionals; technology transfer to development partners; technical assistance to support programs of government and non-government organizations and the institutionalization of programs that will reach out to the
deprived, depressed and underserved communities.

 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
1. Provide clear cut policies in the conduct of extension services to encourage active participation from stakeholders, faculty and students.
2. Enhance community extension facilities to provide quality and timely services to the clienteles of the college.
3. Package matured technologies for disseminations to farmers, Out of School Youths, unemployed adults and other clienteles of the college.
4. Share, utilize, disseminate and promote packaged technologies for extension expansion through newsletter/journals.
5. Conduct continuing education through seminars/workshops/conferences for extension leaders, and  professionals to update and upgrade their respective fields of specialization.
6. Identify and establish linkages with Local Government Units (LGUs), Non- government organizations and People’s organization that will translate economic stability and sufficiency.
7. Conduct non-formal education classes.
8. Initiate Alternative Learning Strategies for the OSY and other disadvantaged sectors of the community.
9. Conduct extension activities geared towards green technology generation to meet 
the needs of the community and the institution.

WE Transform Empower Collaborate Sustain (TECS) Program

A. “BRIDGING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE: COMPUTER LITERACY TRAINING”

 BARANGAY OFFICIAL
          The objective of the training is to educate the barangay officials on how to operate and make use of their knowledge on computer Literacy to be an effective community servant of their respective barangays.


CHILD DEVELOPMENT WORKERS
          The objective of the training is to equip the Child Development Workers with knowledge of basic computing concepts, security measures and the ability to use popular software applications to produce documents and presentations.


OUT-OF-SCHOOL YOUTH (OSYs)
          The objective of the training is to provide computer literacy in software and hardware to the Out-of-School Youths (OSY’s) of Guimaras to become skilled, productive and creative in computer related jobs.


PANTAWID PAMILYANG PILIPINO PROGRAM (4P's)
          The objective of the training is to educate and expose the 4P’s members on how to operate and make use of ICT.

 

RESIDENTS OF BARANGAY SUCLARAN, SAN LORENZO

          The objective of this training is to teach respondents of Brgy. Suclaran the basic skills in computer usage in designing and labeling of products for their future livelihood projects to uplift their standard of living by sustaining the Agro-Eco Tourism of San Lorenzo, Guimaras.


B. “LEARNING BEYOND: ICT SKILLS ENHANCEMENT AND INTEGRATION AMONG GUIMARAS
DEPED TEACHERS”
 
          The objective of this training is to equip the DepEd Teachers of Guimaras with the knowledge and skills on the ICT trends and appropriate use of technology for school teaching and learning
process, program management and communication.
